AN APPEAL

Dear Devotees,
It's that time of the year when we start preparing for our annual Ganeshotsav celebrations. Needless to say that not only Mumbaikars, but devotees from across the world wait eagerly to participate in this mammoth celebration. This year is the 70th year of our Ganeshotsav, to be held from 07th to 11th September, at the usual venue, viz. Shree Sukrateendra Nagar, King's Circle.

G. S. B. Seva Mandal owes its allegiance to Dharmapeetha Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi and has received acclaim and accolades globally because of the grand celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is extremely close to the heart of every Mumbaikar. The growth in the social works and charity activities are attributed to the blessings and relentless 'Margadarshan' of our Dharma Gurus, His Holiness Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji and our present Mathadhipati Shrimad Samyamindra Teertha Swamiji.

Our organization was established in 1951 as a non-profit, charitable trust and registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. G. S. B. Seva Mandal has been at the forefront of social and charitable causes and has constantly strived to reach out to the needy and underprivileged. Our guiding philosophy for all our activities over the years has been ' Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah.' To transform our philosophy into a tangible reality, we endeavour to build a 100 bed multi speciality, charitable Hospital at Versave, Mira - Bhayander. Our aim is to provide world class healthcare amenities to all at an affordable cost. The project is being undertaken at a mission mode and we are striving hard to complete it before the expected timeline. The filling of the land and boundary walls has been completed. We urge all devotees to come forward and donate generously towards this project so that we are able to expedite the work.

During Covid 19 pandemic, under the guidance of our Swamiji, a "Santusht Anna Dana Seva" for the patients' relatives at various Hospitals in the heart of Mumbai & Thane was initiated on a daily basis. We have continued our Anna Dan Seva for the needy, twice every month on days of Chaturthi. Free vaccination camps for the needy and poor were carried out by us across Mumbai, Thane and Dombivli. Our Hall, viz. Shree Guru Ganesh Prasad, was used to prepare food packets that were distributed to the needy and poor during covid times. We also distributed Grocery kits during this crucial period. In addition to this, during the floods in Konkan, GSB Seva Mandal took initiative to provide water, food, clothing, etc. in flood affected areas of Khed, Chiplun in Konkan region as well as in Kerala. We have also been carrying out social activities like Education & Medical assistance, Samuhik Upanayana, Dnyan Shibir, Career Guidance to the youth, and many more. All this would not have been possible without the blessings from our Dharma Guru and your generous contributions. We are working closely with many visually challenged individuals and providing them with support to help lead a dignified life.

Our dedicated trained volunteers can also do the same for you using the Volunteer app. We have also introduced a Devotee app, downloadable from Play Store. By using it, the devotees can directly do their pooja bookings. In an effort to 'Go Green' and ensure a sustainable environment, paper receipts are minimized and donors will get e-receipts. Thee-receipt will have a QR code, which the devotee must display at the entrance to ensure a smooth darshan experience and partake the Prasadam.
